The wide opening allows for logs to be rolled in or pulled in from the side while the tractor can exit out the front

Our first post is about to be set. This is a momentous moment is which I am as yet pretty clueless as to what I am doing! April 2011

It was really hard to scrape up enough woof straight and long enough for floor joists

Placing beams! I made forks out of metal tubing..heated the ends in the fire to make them slide into a welded in pipe socket in the bucket

I decide to do a little log wall thing on the west corners for bracing and wall fill both. We strip off the bark.

First loft floor joist in place. I opt to use logs rather than milled lumber


A quick shed for storing wood trimmings later to be used for wall decoration siding etc
