  • Our first post is about to be set. This is a momentous moment is which I am as yet pretty clueless as to what I am doing! April 2011

  • It was really hard to scrape up enough woof straight and long enough for floor joists

  • Placing beams! I made forks out of metal tubing..heated the ends in the fire to make them slide into a welded in pipe socket in the bucket

  • I decide to do a little log wall thing on the west corners for bracing and wall fill both. We strip off the bark.

  • First loft floor joist in place. I opt to use logs rather than milled lumber
  • A quick shed for storing wood trimmings later to be used for wall decoration siding etc
